Vail Village, West side near the Four Seasons Resort – You have the option to walk to the ski slopes and ski lifts (the Vail Village Gondola is closest – was the Vista Bahn lift until 2012). These are secluded and quiet condominiums and we like the location. If you are not sure of where you are wanting to be in Vail, this page will help you know where to select for accommodations.
Nine Vail Road, 22
This rental condominium is located on the edge of Vail Village and has the things you want in your home retreat after your ski day — stone and tile floors, refreshed countertops, fireplace, flat screen televisions and stainless appliances.
Nine Vail Road (named for it’s address location on Vail Road) is a great location for those willing to be away from Vail Village but still close enough to walk to the ski lifts OR to the Town of Vail Bus system (free).
The Nine Vail Road location provides you with ski mountain access via walking to the Vail Village Gondola — less than 10 minutes in most cases (Gondola One or previously the Vista Bahn lift). You also have access to any mountain area through the Town of Vail bus system – Lionshead, Vail Village or Golden Peak. If you have children, you are able to access the Children’s Ski School and lift access at Lionshead with a short bus ride and then a short walk in Lionshead Village. If you prefer the Children’s Ski School in Golden Peak, that too is a short bus ride for you from this location.
When the day is complete, you can quite easily walk into the Vail Village area for access to fantastic shopping and fine dining experiences. You can also do the same into the Lionshead area for dining experiences, coffee and shopping.
While we like all areas of Vail Village, 9 Vail Road is a great option to consider based on the size of your party. Look here for How to Choose Where I Want to Stay this Year. You’ll find information on how to ensure you are staying in the area that is most suitable to your family or travel partners.
Not too far from restaurants in either Vail Village or Lionshead (you can also enjoy the restaurants at the Sonnenalp Resort — Ludwig’s and the Bully Ranch). Either use the free Town of Vail bus system or put on your snow shoes (in winter of course!) and walk around the city areas — we like the Town of Vail bus system personally. Either way, you are close to all Vail ski areas for shopping, dining and of course skiing.
This home is comfortable and large condominium for your vacation rental and should work fine for most family or friendly configurations.
